Talon contains security features to prevent unauthorized users to access the system. The following are options you may encounter while using Talon:
Changing your Password
When accessing Talon for the first time, you may be prompted to change your password. Your administrator may also request that you change your password at other times when using Talon. See the Change Password topic for details on changing your password.
Forced Log Off due to Inactivity
Administrators can configure Talon to automatically log off users if the user is inactive for a specific amount of time. If this occurs, a message will appear that prompts you to re-enter your password to continue using Talon.
Form Restrictions
Forms
Your administrator may restrict access to certain forms in Talon. They may do this if you are only allowed to request specific messages instead of having access to all forms. You will only see the forms you have access to in the Forms menu.
ORI
You may be prevented from entering ORIs you are not authorized to use. If you try to use an ORI that has not been authorized to you, a message will be displayed and your message will not be transmitted.
Operator Name
Your administrator has prevented you from changing the Operator Name located in Talon forms.
